United Kingdom of Great BritainLancashire, UK WildLives Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre Thorrington, Essex, UK Woodlands Animal Sanctuary Holmeswood,
Lancashire. We have dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, ferrets and chinchillas needing homes. Click here to see the pets needing homes. Animals come to the Rescue Centre for a variety of reasons including bereavement, illness, relationship breakdown, financial reasons and sadly, cruelty and neglect. The policy of the Charity is never to turn away an animal in distress and never to have an animal put to sleep unless, on veterinary advice, it is too ill or dangerous to be re-homed. Every effort is taken to ensure that prospective owners find the right pet for them. Normally home checks are carried out by volunteer home visitors before any animal leaves the Centre followed by a further check weeks later to ensure all is well. Most animals are checked by our veterinary surgeon before they leave and all cats and dogs are microchipped and vaccinated. Cats and dogs are neutered before re-homing. Wildlife Aid Leatherhead, Surrey, UK Wildlife Aid, the home of Wildlife SOS, is an animal charity based in Leatherhead, Surrey, UK, dedicated to wildife rescue and wild animal rescue. We care about animal welfare, the environment, environmental issues, wildlife protection, conservation and British wildlife. At wildife aid we have a full wildlife animal hospital with veterinary surgeons and full time veterinary nurses. We cater for all wildife and wild animals including badgers, deer, foxes, pigeons, doves, frogs, hedgehogs, toads, snakes, rabbits, bats, mice and many more. If you wish to help, why not adopt an animal or become a member? Wildlife SOS is a long-running documentary series that follows the work of Wildlife Aid. The show is presented by co-founder Simon Cowell and veterinary nurse Sara Cowen. Simon is generally featured lampooning around the countryside rescuing wildlife, while Sara is in charge at the hospital looking after the patients during their stay. They are backed up by a dedicated team of vets, wildlife experts and over 120 volunteers, whose many and varied characters help to give the show its unique charm. For more information about Wildlife SOS click here. Episodes of Wildlife SOS can be seen on Animal Planet, Quest Red and on Channel Five at 5:10am every day. The Oak & Furrows Wildlife Rescue Centre Somerford Keynes, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, UK. The Oak and Furrows Wildlife Rescue Centre, located in the south Cotswolds, was established in 1994 by Serena Stevens, to care for sick, injured and orphaned british wild animals and birds. This is acheived in a unique area of natural habitat ideal for the care and rehabilitation of wildlife casualties. They are treated sympathetcally taking into account their natural behaviour and individual needs with the aim of releasing them back into the wild. In October 2008 Serena won the I.F.A.W. Wildlife Rescue Award in recognition of her work with wildlife. Please help Oak and Furrows Wildlife Rescue Centre to continue to help wildlife by giving your support. The Secret World Wildlife Rescue East Huntspill, Highbridge, Somerset, UK. Secret World Wildlife Rescue specialises in the rescue, rehabilitation and eventual release of orphaned and injured wild creatures. In each year approximately 4,000 wild animals are cared for by Secret World Wildlife Rescue. Pound Puppy Animal Rescue Poole, Dorset, UK Worthing and District Animal Rescue Service Worthing, West Sussex, UK We have dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs needing homes. You can view the animals we currently have available by clicking here. We try to keep our site up to date but we usually have far more cats and kittens with us than are listed so a visit to the sanctuary is always reccomended. Because we do a pre-homing visit for all our animals, our homing area is restricted. Please contact the sanctuary before visiting to check we are able to rehome in your area. All our animals are vaccinated, neutered microchipped, flea sprayed and wormed, and we take our animals back if things do not work out or your circumstances change.
