Animals in Distress Lancashire, UK

WildLives Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre Thorrington, Essex, UK
Wildlives provides care and basic medical treatment for wildlife, and ensures that a bird or animal has veterinary treatment where required. With all animals brought into the centre, the ultimate aim will be release them back into the wild. In order to do this successfully, it is necessary to ensure that they achieve a very high level of fitness and mobility (far in excess of that which would be sufficient for a domestic pet). Furthermore, this must be done without 'taming' the animal. An animal with no fear of people will, sadly, not live very long in the wild.

Wildlives receives no private funding, it is entirely dependent on donations from members of the public. If you would like to make a donation to the WildLives Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre, you can send us a cheque click here for our address. Alternatively, Click here for other ways to fundraise and donate. Even a few pounds a month would be of great assistance to the animals that we rescue. WildLives Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre is a registered charity, No 1104167

Animals in Distress Rescue Ipplepen, Newton Abbot, Devon
We have dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, ferrets and chinchillas needing homes. Click here to see the pets needing homes. Animals come to the Rescue Centre for a variety of reasons including bereavement, illness, relationship breakdown, financial reasons and sadly, cruelty and neglect. The policy of the Charity is never to turn away an animal in distress and never to have an animal put to sleep unless, on veterinary advice, it is too ill or dangerous to be re-homed. Every effort is taken to ensure that prospective owners find the right pet for them. Normally home checks are carried out by volunteer home visitors before any animal leaves the Centre followed by a further check weeks later to ensure all is well. Most animals are checked by our veterinary surgeon before they leave and all cats and dogs are microchipped and vaccinated. Cats and dogs are neutered before re-homing.
